First In Sydney

Walked forever today all around Circular Quay, The Harbour, the Botanical Gardens,  the Opera House and through the City.........my feet were dropping off by the end of the day.  It was so great to see it all again but it has changed a lot in 10 years. 

Sydney was buzzing and heaving as you can imagine with people here for New Year.  We walked around all the different spots for the fireworks and decided that we were not up to keeping a spot in the gardens for 14 hours!  So we bit the bullet and booked a restaurant with the view!  cost us a bloody fortune, but it is our Chrissy pressie to each other. Don't suppose we will ever do it again, so it is worth it.

We liked the look of the yacht on the right, but for some reason they wouldn't let us on!  not fair.

Circular Quay 

After tomorrow night it will be dry bread and baked beans for the rest of the trip.

We are off out for coffee and a walk now in the opposite direction to the harbour.  Can't put any pix on as we are in an internet cafe, but will do later.
