We've been having a brilliant and chilled out time in Canberra for the last few days with Kate. We've been out to markets, walks in the park and lots of coffee. Visited the Australian Library which was fascinating, the Portrait Gallery which was wonderful and been to a Toulouse Lautrec exhibition at the National Gallery. which was great.

Today we visited The Glassworks and watched the glass blowers perform, what a skill! Been out for breakfast at Belconnen Markets and Italian dinner locally. Phew!
39 degrees yesterday and getting hotter. But, we sat on the balcony last night with a G&T to a storm raging. Thunder, lightening and rain for about an hour, brilliant.

You wouldn't believe all this water fell last night - not a drop this morning.
Anyway, sadly this is our last night in Canberra, we are virtually packed and ready to go first thing tomorrow morning. Kate is off to work at 8am and we shall leave at the same time in the Canberra rush hour, which I have been told last for at least 15 minutes.
We are off to Beechworth up in top of Victoria, for forest, gold mining towns and more water.
Be in touch, and your all having a good time.
