We said goodbye! and headed off towards the Clare Valley and down towards Adelaide, through towns such as Saddleworth, Nuripoota, Kapunda, Eudunda and finally Gawler - don't you just love the place names. The scenery continued to be stunning, but we knew that the colours would change as we got towards civilisation.

We decided to go around the top of Adelaide so we didn't have to drive through the city. We headed for Port Adelaide and ended up at Semaphore, as below. Just lovely
From there we drove down to Glenelg where we would stay. We decided to stay in this seaside suburb of Adelaide instead of the in the city, and had booked at studio on line, so didn't know what to expect. We picked up the keys from a motel and were told to drive to the other end of the town, and see Rosemary; we were staying at the bottom of her garden.
Well then! we had become gnomes.... and what a surprise.

Glenelg is lovely, and had a evening walk and found a car rally on the green. Unfortunately they were packing up, but we managed to see some of the old cars.
What a great day and what a nice place.
